O-H-I-O Share your pride

"OHIO in the deep!"

My son and his family went with my wife and me on a Disney Fantasy cruise to the Caribbean in April for a week. Our shore excursion at Grand Cayman was an underwater Sea Trek some 50 feet below the surface, wearing these 75lb helmets. Lots of bubbles, fish and fun. Pictured (l to r) son Rick, my wife Mary, granddaughter Allison and me. Rather crude "OHIO," but the conditions called for quick action and making sure the helmets and air stayed on our heads. However, the spirt was there!

It started out as a simple football cheer. But today, "O-H-I-O" means the whole package: strong athletic traditions, major school spirit, academic achievements, and outreach efforts.

Gameday O-H-I-O

Fans, band members, and even Brutus showed their Buckeye pride outside the Shoe before the Ohio State v. Minnesota game (Oct. 24, 2009).
