O-H-I-O Share your pride
"On Top of Mt. Whitney"
Spelling out O-H-I-O on top of the highest mountain in the lower 48. L-R Robin D. Bryer ('81), Dr. Thomas Wendel ('80), Ken Kelly ('81), Dr. Nathaniel Nye ('10) Buckeyes are everywhere, even the highest mountian in lower 48 states. On Saturday, September 1, 2012, just about half-time of the OSU vs. Miami game, two of my former OSU classmates, Dr. Tom Wendel, Ken Kelly and I summited Mt. Whitney after a seven day hike across the Sierras. Wanting to honor our beloved Alma Mater, we needed to recruit an "O" from one of the few other climbers that were at the summit at that time. The first guy I asked looked at me increduously. He asked me if I was pulling his leg. Once he knew that I was serious, he said proudfully, that he was a graduate of the the OSU School of Medicine. Thanks for filling in for us Nate. It takes two "O"s to spell OHIO. Go Bucks

It started out as a simple football cheer. But today, "O-H-I-O" means the whole package: strong athletic traditions, major school spirit, academic achievements, and outreach efforts.
Gameday O-H-I-O
Fans, band members, and even Brutus showed their Buckeye pride outside the Shoe before the Ohio State v. Minnesota game (Oct. 24, 2009).
